![]() On Monday, August 21st a partial eclipse will be viewable in Arizona between 9am and noon. This is an excellent educational opportunity, but it also raises safety concerns. Scientists have repeatedly expressed the dangers associated with looking at the sun during the solar eclipse and the damage that it can cause to the eye. Even dark sunglasses do not provide enough protection. Therefore, to err on the side of safety, students at Discover U will remain indoors between 9am and noon. Our students will be watching this historical event via NASA's live stream and participating in various classroom activities.
