Before & After Care (Explorer Club)
Discover U offers before and after-school care through our Explorer Club program, providing students with a safe, structured, and engaging environment outside of regular school hours.
Program Hours
Before Care: Mon–Fri: 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM
After Care: Mon–Thu: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
(Fri: 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
💳 Explorer Club Payments

Before Care — $100/month
6:30–8:00 AM. Choose the month you’re paying for on the payment page.
Pay Before CareAfter Care — $250/month

Pay After CareDES Assistance Balance
For families approved for DES Child Care Assistance. DES pays Discover U directly; pay your remaining balance here. Contact the front office if you’re unsure of the amount.
Pay DES BalanceProcessed securely by Stripe. Enter your student’s name and the month on the payment page. Paying several months at once? Increase the quantity there.

📱 Registration & PikMyKid App
- First-Come Basis: Space is limited; registration is required prior to attendance.
- Forms: Registration forms and emergency contact info must be up to date.
- PikMyKid App: Mandatory for student check-in, check-out, and pick-up procedures.
- Release Policy: Students are released only to contacts approved on record. Photo ID may be required.
💳 Tuition Policy
- Where to Pay: Use the Explorer Club Payments section above.
- Due Date: Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Late payments may result in program suspension.
- Monthly Commitment: Families are responsible for monthly tuition once a student is enrolled for the month.
- DES Accepted: Arizona Child Care Assistance is proudly accepted.
📋 Policies & Expectations
- Non-Refundable: All payments are non-refundable. No prorated adjustments or credits for missed days or school closures.
- Withdrawal: Written notice is required prior to the next billing cycle to cancel enrollment.
- Behavior: Students are expected to follow all Discover U school rules and PBIS expectations. Unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior may result in parent notification, a behavior intervention plan, temporary suspension from Explorer Club, or permanent removal from the program. Discover U reserves the right to remove a student from Explorer Club if their behavior interferes with the safety, well-being, or learning environment of other students or staff.
- Pick-Up Time: Students must be picked up by the designated program end time. Repeated late pick-ups may result in late fees, suspension, or removal from the program.
